Living with melasma hasn’t been easy. Those dark patches on my skin were more than just a cosmetic concern — they affected my confidence, the way I felt in social situations, and even how I looked at myself in the mirror.
But through patience, trial and error, and the right skincare + lifestyle changes, I’ve seen real progress. Today, I want to share my before and after results as part of my melasma journal, in the hope it inspires others.
📖 Before: The Struggles
- My melasma first appeared on my forehead,cheeks and chin.
- Triggers I noticed: sun exposure, hormones, and stress.
- Emotionally, it made me feel frustrated, embarrassed, hopeless at time’s.
- I tried covering it with makeup, but it always felt like a temporary solution.

🌿 What Helped Me Improve
Through research and consistency, I focused on:
- Daily Sunscreen ☀️every single day
- Topical treatments: Vitamin C, hydroquinone, azelaic acid, tranexamic acid, Turmeric & Kojic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads and Wrapping Mask
- Supplements: I took glutathione, omega-3s, organic turmeric
- Healthy habits: better sleep, reduced stress, nourishing foods
🌸 After: The Transformation
Slowly, I noticed the dark patches start to fade. My skin looked brighter after 4 weeks, and I finally felt comfortable going out without layers of makeup.

This isn’t a miracle cure — melasma is stubborn and can return — but I’ve learned that with consistency, patience, and the right support, it is possible to see real results.
